Re: Reports from multiple tables
In Document Templates, you can add fields in other tables either by adding 'Data Fields' or 'Lists of Items'.
Data Fields are limited to only one level deep and only one-to-many links. For example, in the Contacts table, you can add Customer fields. Note however that you can use custom functions to retrieve values from more than one level down as long as the link is still one-to-many. For example, in the Tasks table, you can show values from the Opportunity->Customer table using custom functions.
Lists of Items are good for showing many-to-one or many-to-many linked tables. Since there may be many records linked to the record you are reporting on, these values are displayed in a list/table. Just don't forget to add an appropriate filter to the list that links the list to the type of record you are reporting on.
