A user claims that she entered 10 records into Clay on a certain day and there are no where to be found. According to the login history, the user was indeed logged in on that day for several hours and did 48 "activities", 83 database queries, 3,081.1094 KBs sent, 2.8027 KBs received. Clearly there was activity but still no trace of those records.
Assuming that the user did, in fact, enter and save the records properly (yes, an assumption), do you have any suggestions for how this might be possible? What to look for?
Other users entered records on that day and they appear in the system.

Re: Missing Records
(Activity doesn't prove anything since merely by logging in, you also cause activity)
First of all make sure the records are really missing. Often due to columns in linked tables or function fields or filters in the query you are running, you are not seeing all the records in that table. Show only 1 or 2 simple columns like the Name field and remove all filters (including 'active only') to be sure.
Second, if you know how to open the database directly without Clay, you can look in the Deletions table for any deletions in that time period or any time after. The Deletions table contains the table ID, date and user ID so you have to know your way around technically a bit.
Third, if there are any strange entries in the Automation Log during the time she was connected, let me know.
Fourth, make sure she didn't ignore any validation errors when saving.

Re: Missing Records
Thanks for your thoughts.
1) Made simple queries and they all come up negative.
2) No deletions noted in Deletions table for the last 3 months so no problem there.
3) A while ago the verbose mechanism of Automation Log was disabled (unselected) so no info there.
4) No reported validation errors.
Will keep looking around but seems like they do not exist.

Re: Missing Records
In that case I don't know what happened; it doesn't make sense and I never heard of such an occurrence. Chances are it may be a user error, for example she forgot to save, or she was disconnected from Clay when she 'saved', or some other misunderstanding. Another alternative is that she was working offline and there was a sync error when online, but she says there were no errors. Either way check one more thing: If it's ClayStation and offline is enabled, go offline on her computer and search while offline.
