Web ClayStation

Post by ZevToledano »

A Web version of the ClayStation client is currently being developed which will have all the functionality of a normal client except customization tools and some interactive graphical tools.

You can read more technical details at the Wiki: http://digital-clay.com/support/wiki/do ... laystation

So far, most of the basic features such as data forms, lists and attachments has been fully implemented and the performance is superb thanks to a unique FastCGI-based design.

If you wish to be involved in testing and running a preview version of this release, you can download the latest alpha version from http://digital-clay.com/resources/Digit ... nstall.exe.

Future important developments on this project will be posted here.

Latest update: Although Web ClayStation has been fully functional for years now and is in use by many customers, it has always been two steps behind the desktop version in terms of the latest features. As of version 9.1.0 (which is currently in development and will be released in a few months), Web ClayStation is fully up to date and will have all of the functionality of the desktop ClayStation excluding: customization capabilities (customization is performed using desktop clients and then displayed in Web ClayStation), interactive Gantts, and drag & drop functionality (this last one may be added at a later date).

Digital-Clay is now build-once-deploy-anywhere, meaning that the same configured solution can be simultaneously used and identically displayed in desktop, Outlook and Web or mobile/smartphone clients. Since the experience is mostly identical, a user can switch between different clients seamlessly as needed.
