Dashboard Pops Up
Dashboard Pops Up
To create a new entity (entity table), we click on a button on a dashboard. Up pops an entry form which allows us to enter all of the information in several tabs.
Whenever we initially enter a new entity and click on the save icon (little disk), the dashboard pops in front of the form unexpectedly.
This gets annoying.
This phenomenon happens in other circumstances as well. However, so far, these are the only conditions for which we have been able to document it consistently.
If we eliminate the dashboard before entering the information in the form and saving it, it does not pop up upon saving the entity info.
Ideas?

Re: Dashboard Pops Up
Are you sure you are on a recent version? I haven't been able to reproduce it in any way.
If you are on a recent version (say 9.0.0a70 and up) then I may need the files needed to reproduce this. e.g. if you defined this in a layout then the layout.xml file for starters with a step-by-step description...

Re: Dashboard Pops Up
We are currently using 9.0.0a73.
Actually, for the past 2-3 days it seems that this dashboard popping in front happens anytime I push the save/disk icon.
You say "If I defined this"...what is "this" exactly?

This dashboard with the button. It depends where you created it and how you are opening it.
Re: Dashboard Pops Up
In "Customize Toolbar," in a category entitled "Entities," there is an item called "Entity Manager." This is the dashboard.
With that said, is there some file(s) I should send you? If so, please explain which and how. Thanks.

Not sure if this will be enough, but it's a start:
The profile files are in:
Windows XP: c:\documents and settings\[windowsuser]\Local Settings\Application data\DigitalClay\[clayusername]
Windows 7: c:\users\[windowsuser]\AppData\Local\DigitalClay\[clayusername]
Just put them all in one zip.

Re: Dashboard Pops Up
I found C:\Documents and Settings\SYSTEM\Local Settings\Application Data\DigitalClay\administrator but no files appear there.
(administrator is the only folder I see there)

Re: Dashboard Pops Up
Not 'SYSTEM'. Your windows username.
Re: Dashboard Pops Up
When I open C:\Documents and Settings\Michael I do not see any folders labeled "Local Settings". That is why I went to SYSTEM.
Attached is the picture of this folder. Where should I look next?

Re: Dashboard Pops Up
You probably don't have hidden folders visible (Tools/Folder Options/View).
