Offline Use

When working offline on a dashboard which displays a list of items with a filter box above to filter the items in the list:

the list of items includes all of the filter results (for example, all of the companies in the companies table); however, the "filter values" box (right side of the filter box) only shows a portion of the values. As a result, if I look for an item not displayed in "filter values," I have to go through the entire list of items to find it as opposed to finding it within "filter values."

Is there a specific reason or setting for this? Would it be possible to use the filter, filter values and list of items in the same way as when connected?

I'm guessing here, but is it possible you are trying to display more than 5000 items in the filter values list? This is the default maximum values setting.

You can also check what your setting is for ClayCentral (while online) in ClayStudio ClayCentral Settings/Database/Maximum results for dropdowns.

If this is the case, then what we can do is add the same adjustable settings for offline usage as well in ClayStation for the next version.

Indeed, we are trying to show over 5000 items in the filter values list.

Currently, the ClayCentral Settings for while online are:

Default Max Results: 20000
Absolute Max Results: 50000
Maximum Results for Dropdown Lists: 50000

Although all users are encouraged to work online whenever they can, our office has many situations in which users require offline use, such as when on trips and in locations without internet/vpn access.

Therefore, we would certainly appreciate having as much regular functionality offline as possible.

OK I'll make these settings adjustable as described.

In the meantime, if you feel comfortable with the registry you can set it yourself manually:
The location is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/DigitalClay/Station/
The key is "MaxResultsNames" (you may have to add a new string value if it doesn't exist) and then set the value to "50000"
