Look field from user

Hi,

I want to lock a field from user (no change throw kebord),
But I want to change that field via an automation.

Is it possibile?

I created an automation that set that field value,
When I set it's proprties to "read only" (to look it) the automation didn't work.

Yes. You have to make it read-only only for the appropriate Roles. Either override the roles you want to allow, or set it only for specific roles.

Then you change the automation Owner/'Run As' field to a user that has permissions.
