ClayCentral Service Stopped
ClayCentral Service Stopped
We came in this morning and found that ClayCentral service was not running.
I have attached the log. At the moment, I do not see other obvious anomalies with the server.
Any ideas what might have happened and if it is likely to happen again?

Re: ClayCentral Service Stopped
I see 'out of memory' errors in the log right before it ends. I recommend a reboot of the machine and then check the ClayCentral.exe process in the task manager every once in a while to see whether the memory usage is normal (~50-300MB).
Re: ClayCentral Service Stopped
After a reboot, ClayCentral seemed to start and run normally. We'll continue to track.
Re: ClayCentral Service Stopped
Came in this morning and saw that ClayCentral was still running and appeared normal.
However, about 1/2 hour later, we noticed that ClayCentral stopped. Restarted the service and now again running normally (memory usage 48-64000 K).
Log attached.

Re: ClayCentral Service Stopped
How much memory was it using before you restarted it?
Once again out of memory. Either there is some kind of leak due to your specific configuration, or your server is having problems. Please monitor the memory usage throughout today and write down the amount of RAM used at least once every hour. Let me know if there is a gradual increase. It should stay roughly the same except when it is processing a request (i.e. skip RAM usage peaks and only write down the stable numbers).

Re: ClayCentral Service Stopped
I started the hourly check at 14:00. Memory usage was at 67,716 k and peak 89,220 k.
I was planning to check back in an hour or so. However, a few minutes later Central fell. Then it was back to 35,392 k and then we restarted the Central service. All operating normally again...for now.
Log attached.

Re: ClayCentral Service Stopped
Memory usage sounds normal. I would check what else is running on the server and monitor memory usage of other apps and available memory/paging file. Perhaps your hard drive is full?
Re: ClayCentral Service Stopped
Will continue monitoring. The hard drive appears to have plenty of space.
Re: ClayCentral Service Stopped
Now constantly getting messages of time running out connecting to server (see attached).
Central's memory usage is still at 35,296 k.

Re: ClayCentral Service Stopped
We have never encountered anything like this in hundreds of other installations of Clay 9.0, many of which use ClayCentral very heavily, plus the memory usage looks perfectly normal, so it is probably something specific on your machine. Your server needs administration to figure out what is going on with the RAM. Please contact your administrator.
