When we try to send e-mail with the Send Mail interface and Digital Clay returns an error like SMTP not responding, it would be helpful to be able to return to that Send Mail interface and the settings we put in. That way, after addressing the error, we can simply pick up where we left off and send the email. Otherwise, we have to go back and define everything again (email field, title, body/or find html again, etc.).
Is there any way to retain or recall that Send Mail interface with its recent content?

Re: Email error
OK, implemented for next version.
Re: Email error
Thanks. We appreciate it.
Additionally, I noticed that in the ClayCentral log, the following message appears about between 5 and 80 or so times on consecutive days since 7/7/2011 until 8/7/2011:
03|8/7/2011 12:27:49 PM Error Forcefully resetting mail socket (timeout)
What does this mean? Why does it occur so many time.

Re: Email error
Interesting. This is the result of some code we added recently that double-checks the status of the mail connections to ensure a misbehaving mail server doesn't cause problems.
I wouldn't worry about it yet - it may very well be some inappropriate logic in the code that thinks there's a problem but there isn't. But it may also indicate some problem with your mail server/mail settings.
Let's start with the settings: Go to ClayStudio 'ClayCentral Settings', check the Injection and Mail tabs: Check that they don't have bad mail account settings. Then check whether your mail server has connectivity problems.

Re: Email error
The mail tab in ClayCentral Settings had incorrect mail settings.
After correcting them and attempting to "validate email", authentication failed. However, the "test" emails sent by the system during that process were received.
Otherwise, we seem to be able to send emails successfully from ClayStudio and ClayStation. Bizarre?

Re: Email error
You probably don't need settings in the Mail tab - it is used for mail connectivity which is an obscure feature I'm pretty sure you don't use. The Mail tab should be emptied if this is the case. The tab you MAY need is the Data Injection/Mail tab if you use mail injection.
Let me know if the errors don't go away after this.
