1) If I add a linked field in a table and then I add a column from that linked table to a list of info from the first table, how do I see info from the first table even if there is no record in the second table.
2) When I create a linked field, new custom links with default Link Groups are created. If I delete the linked field, are those Link Groups deleted? What about if I create a new link group?
3) If I change the name of a field which is use by many users in their dashboards, etc., what happens to that field across the digital clay environment?
4) Can one bulk edit fields from another table if there is a record in the linked tabled? And if there is not (Should be impossible)?
Thanks,
Noam

Re: Linked Fields Some general questions
1. You have to make the link group an optional (Left) join. Just make sure you aren't going to upset existing queries that already make use of that link group.

2. All links that depend on a linked field are deleted recursively when the field is deleted, including links that are based on those links. Link Groups are not deleted unless their base tables are deleted.
3. Field names don't affect any saved queries/items/dashboards/templates etc except the way they are displayed. Fields are always referenced by internal IDs.
4. You mean bulk edit the field values in a linked table? Only with automation event handlers, not through any client features. Automation can change any linked records and it will skip the action if none exist.
