Can one automation event trigger another one? and how do you prevent an infinite loop?
Definitely. Automation Event Handlers are global and run when a record has changed due to ANY reason, including other Automation Events Handlers.
There is built-in recursive loop checking to avoid infinite loops. The logic of this code is too complex to go into here. A future Wiki article will describe this functionality.
