Attachments with no file extension

Post by noamkap »

If an attachment has no type, digital clay does not know what to do with it and does not do anything.

There is no message or anything.

What can be done?

Thanks,
Noam

I assume you mean when trying to open it, not when adding it.

Opening an attachment with no extension doesn't work because it uses the current Windows file extension association to open it with the default program associated with that extension. Extensions with no associated programs with them will also behave the same way.

I looked up other possibilities and found a way to launch the "Open With..." dialog box when there is no default association. This will be fixed for next version.

In the meantime, save the file instead of opening it, and then manually run the program that can open this file. Or, simply change the filename.
